About Me

I grew up in Iowa, where I learned that hard work is normal and your dreams are as big as you'll let them be. I spent my young adult life in Seattle, which gave me a new perspective on the world and equipped me to explore. Now I live in Alexandria, which I intend on calling home the rest of my life. This city is full of my kind of people, who are thrilled you’re here and enthusiastic about your enthusiasm. My work helps organizations communicate their issues and find their supporters.

I love improv theater, board games, and riding trains with my family. I speak Spanish, and see bilingualism and travel as an essential part of who I am and who I will be.

I am married to Kyle, a graphic designer, and we have endless debates about color choices and typefaces. We have a daughter who is the absolute light of my life and smarter than all of us. We’re working on DIY house renovations and learning a lot in the process.
